Alan Rasmussen - Creator, Executive Producer
Created Control Track 1996
Alan Rasmussen, our fearless leader, created Control Track in 1996. At the time, Alan was a pioneer since there were only a handful of other Christian music video shows. He had been producing several local cable programs in the Orlando area. Now he is responsible for executive producing Control Track which is the longest running Christian music video show ever. At Orlando’s Last Wave Night Club, he served as a promoter booking Christian artists.
Rebecca Blacksmith - Host, Producer
Joined Control Track 2002
For a decade, Rebecca worked on-air in radio in the New York market (99.1FM). She interviewed celebrities, hosted the afternoon show, and created a show designed for NYC area youth. On-air, she promoted and covered the one year anniversary of September 11th concert at Madison Square Garden featuring NY Governor George Pataki, NBA stars Allan Houston and Charlie Ward, Fred Hammond, and Third Day. In addition to on-air gigs at other radio stations, she was situated overlooking the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue in NYC as an Associate Producer for A&E documentaries. In 2003-2005, she was part of the grant staff funding media, policy, and religion for one of the ten largest foundations in the United States. Along the way she grabbed a few ivy-league Master of Arts degrees and is now focused on finishing her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
Julie Kotze - Associate Producer
Joined Control Track 1998
In the 1990’s, Julie did promotions for artists and record labels by developing artists careers and concerts. She then brought her creative skills to Control Track in 1998 as a production assistant. She climbed up the Control Track corporate ladder to associate producer and does everything from Rebecca’s make-up to staging the shots and assisting with show ideas. She came up with the Telly-Award winning idea for the tribute to our troops in Iraq. Tribute to Julie for that and for always being accessible through her email account, NOT!
Ken Ferrel - Audio Engineer
Joined Control Track 2003
Ken has been an audio guru since the 1990’s. He has utilized his skills as an A/V engineer for corporate shows, for televised high school football games, and as the production manager of Orlando’s Last Wave Night Club. He currently serves as the Technical Director of CrossPointe Church in Orlando. On television shoots, you will often find Ken running around with a handy equipment-filled backpack and five microphones coming out of his audio mixer. Now if he could just turn off the one connected to Rebecca . . .
Kenneth Edmonson - Production Assistant
